A New Beginning

A New Beginning
Cleo trotted through the open plains, searching. For something. Someone. The young wolfess had been in the land for a few days now, and had not seen hide nor hair of another wolf. The bright sun shone above, persistent in it's efforts to break through the clouds. Although the bright ball of heat was covered, the clouds seemed to only reflect the heat. Feeling drops of presperation form on her pads, Cleo decided to find a stream to quench her thirst. The overwhelming amount of wildflowers made it hard for Cleo to locate any source of water, but she would look all the same.
Finally, Cleo discovered a bank that led down a shallow slope to a clear, sparkling stream. She opened her light brown maw to take a drink and lapped up a few mouthfuls of the refreshing water. Cleo closed her muzzle and eyes and pointed her snout to the sky and sighed; a contented sigh. Water dripped slowly from Cleo's muzzle, but she paid no attention, just enjoying the beautiful day.
Eventually, Cleo left the stream and, not conciously deciding to, but searching for a tree to find some shade under. It took some time, but she found one, but not until her paws were soaked with persperation from her pads. Cleo sat down and curled her tail over her paws. She decided to pass the time with a song. It took some time to decide which one, but eventually she opened her maw gracefully and a seductive voice which shouldn't be coming from a pup spilled out.
I hate feeling like this
I'm so tired of trying to fight this
I'm asleep and all I dream of
Is waking to you
Tell me that you will listen
Your touch is what I'm missing
And the more I hide I realize I'm slowly losing you
Comatose
I'll never wake up without an overdose of you
I don't wanna live
I don't wanna breathe
'les I feel you next to me
you take the pain I feel
waking up to you never felt so real
I don't wanna sleep
I don't wanna dream
'cause my dreams don't comfort me
The way you make me feel
Waking up to you never felt so real
I hate living without you
Dead wrong to ever doubt you
But my demons lay in waiting
Tempting me away
Oh how I adore you
Oh how I thirst for you
Oh how I need you
Breathing life
Waking up My eyes
Open up
Don't leave me alone
Comatose
I'll never wake up without an overdose of you
I don't wanna live
I don't wanna breathe
'les I feel you next to me
you take the pain I feel
waking up to you never felt so real
I don't wanna sleep
I don't wanna dream
'cause my dreams don't comfort me
The way you make me feel
Waking up to you never felt so real
Waking up to you never felt so real

Re: A New Beginning
Myth padded along the many wildflowers in this vast field. It was a beautiful day, so Myth decided to take a stroll through the flowers, happily enjoying the sweet scent that wafted toward her nose. A bee flew overhead and landed on a nearby flower, then took off again, covered with pollen.
Myth kept walking through the field, enjoying the birdsong overhead. Suddenly she stopped, hearing something. At first she was not quite sure, then she realised that there was someone close by who was singing. Myth stood still, glancing around the field to try and locate where the voice was coming from.
Under a tree, not far away, Myth saw a pup. The pup was the one responsible for the singing. Myth sat down and listened for a second, then got to her paws and padded up to meet the pup.
"Hello," she said, coming to a stop a few footsteps away from the pup. "What a lovely voice you have..." Myth said, half to herself. She was silent for a few heartbeats, then continued. "May I ask... what you are doing out here by yourself?"
